U-Pick Chestnuts
U-Pick chestnuts at LaFever Chestnuts has turned into a fall tradition for many families in Southeast Michigan. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by Mike LaFever or David Perkins and you’ll receive a bucket and a quick tutorial of how to tell when a chestnut is ready to be harvested.
Pick as many chestnuts as your heart desires. When you’re ready, the LaFever Chestnut team will show you how to prepare the chestnuts so you can roast them on the bonfire.
Hay Rides, Bonfires, and More!
There’s no need to wait! We have a big bonfire, plenty of roasting pans, and picnic tables where you can enjoy your harvest the same day! Feel free to bring your friends, family, your own food and games for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Most guests stay several hours.
LaFever Chestnuts also offers hay rides for children (and children at heart!) so they can see the whole farm and enjoy the Michigan fall weather.
